How hard can it be to get rid of acne pimples, if mere bacteria are responsible to cause them?
For hundreds of bacteria our skin is their home and it’s a wonder to look at thousands of them in our everyday lives. The researchers have found the very one bacterium that can be implicated in acne pimples, the scourge of teen life. You will find these bacteria all over your skin and one tough customer called the Propioni bacterium acnes.
These bacteria make their home in the little pores and hair follicles of your skin, and have forever caused acne in young adults everywhere. Scientists are constantly in search for new remedies for acne treatments and they never loose their interest in finding and understanding more about acne pimples and their dreaded conditions on our skin. It causes a lot of investment for the research to find an effective, safe cure for getting rid of acne. It is the fame and fortune that drives many scientists to find many such cures.
Scientists just finished their studying on P.Acnes bacterium’s DNA. This shows how much serious these scientists are, trying to find new ways to cure acne pimples. And the research does bring us results. They found that these bacteria mostly like it in the pores and hair follicles around the upper part of the body: the upper back and chest, and the face. All the oil that the pores and follicles produce, the bacterium thrives on, and consumes.
Anyone that has graced our earth has reached a stage in their life that is known as Puberty. Puberty is a time in life, different for everyone, where the largest hormone and sexual growth takes places. Common characteristics that are defined during this time are pubic hair, voice changes, larger breasts, etc. The time of life when the greatest amount of growth occurs and the development of sexual characteristics (such as pubic hair, breasts in females, and lower voice in males) take place.
In many ways, P.Acnes is quite a defender of healthy skin. Its genes allow it to launch terrible poisons on skin fungi and other bacteria that mean to do us harm. Scientists have never seen anything like the common bacterium that causes acne pimples. Some of its genes no one has ever seen on any other living organism before. No one that I have met likes pimple, and they have become a huge social issue in today’s society. This is largely due to the direct affect that they have on one’s appearance. Pimple’s have the affect of making one appear ‘dirty’.
But that doesn’t make it the good guy. Everyone has heard of the fearsome flesh eating bacteria, the streptococci. The bacteria that cause acne pimples produce the same kind of flesh-dissolving enzyme the streptococci do, to destroy and eat our skin with. A common ‘side effect’ to Puberty is the increased appearance of pimples. Pimples are a type of lesion on the skin that is caused by swelled or otherwise blocked pores. Most often caused by acne, pimples can also be cause by other conditions such as smallpox.
The only mercy granted here is that they don’t do much of this. And its genetic makeup allows it to quickly change form to evade attack by the body’s immune system. It isn’t hard to eliminate or reduce a pimple, all you have to do is press in and down on the area from both sides. This pressure on the area will cause the skin to pop, allowing the pimple to loose its internal puss outwards. This is the most widely accepted method, however, it is not always recommended by dermatologists. But, perhaps, the role that P.Acnes plays in breakouts of acne pimples is a minor one.
Modern acne treatments all focus on killing these deadly bacteria, and try to prevent tiny skin pieces from clogging up the pores and trapping dirt and oil inside. Often time’s dirty fingers will also be the cause of prolonged infection.
Bacteria have developed resistance to most varieties of antibiotics and hence these don’t really work on killing the bacterium in the skin pores.
Dermatologists have proven that in squeezing the pimple you can actually cause bacteria and puss to be pushed further into the skin, which in turn causes further irritation.
In fact, some of the more stubborn cases of acne pimples seem to yield to nothing weaker than cancer medicines. Vitamin A is supposed to make us shed skin so that nothing ends up clogging pores. Researchers are now trying to determine an easy way to defeat acne pimples. All this research and what we have to show for it is Vitamin A. Sometimes, it takes a lot of work to see what is right before you.
